Bluebells, an unburnt cedar offering, cool night air, lavender, soft owl feathers, blueberries, & a hint of dark chocolate

This scent opens with plush bluebells, creamy dark chocolate, and sweet blueberries before the Atlas cedar* and lavender absolute add a cool, herbaceous touch to this velvety fragrance. A scent that smells distinctly blue, it evokes soft owl wings gliding over the inky night sky.

Prince Stolas, the 36th spirit of the Goetia, is a gentle deity who appears before the practitioner as a crowned owl or raven on tall, stilted legs. Stolas can appear more readily in the physical realm than other Goetic spirits, and holds special influence over animals. He teaches astronomy, knowledge of crystals, communication with animals, and the secret power of plants.

He can be invoked with offerings of cedar incense, dark chocolate, berries, herbs, gemstones, or crystals.

Unexpected Favorite

I purchased a sample pack of 5 perfume oils and threw this one in as my wildcard. When I first opened the bottle, I thought I was going to hate it- the scent was very strong and smelled foremost like chocolate liqueur, which I found unpleasant. However, after it dries down the chocolate scent really mellows out and the soft bluebell comes through, followed by the cedar and lavender the longer it wears. I find it enchanting and warm, perfect as we head from late fall into winter.

I feel the description of 'a *hint* of dark chocolate' to be a tad misleading, but I'm not complaining in the slightest. If you like the smell of cocoa butter but wish it was a touch classier and more sophisticated, this perfume is for you.

Beautiful and Strange

I bought this as a sample first and when I first smelled it in the bottle, I didn't care much for it. Later in the day I decided to try it out on my skin and wow was I surprised. It smells completely different on your skin and it develops so beautiful, I honestly cannot believe that perfume can exist to be this multidimensional. Do not mistake this for being "overpowering" it is not, different notes are highlighted as time goes on wearing this perfume. The best way I can describe it is like wind rushing past you, crisp and blue and full bodied yet clear. It's a beautiful ornate shadowy scent, bathed in moonlight.

Lavender and cocoa...

I do not dislike Stolas. It smells strongly of chocolate out of the bottle, but the dry down after applying is a subtle cocoa with an overlay of somewhat astringent lavender. I am one that enjoys lavender scents, though usually not to wear. I really don't know what bluebells smell like so I cannot say if I am picking up on such a scent profile or not. It is a good evening scent. Not one that would be my daily go-to. But it is very quaint and calming.
