Like a modern twist on a classic

I'm not new to the perfume world, however I am new to Fantome fragrances. I ordered a sample pack which I chose to include Kensington just based off of the notes. I am wearing this tonight and I am loving this! It's very interesting because to my nose, for the first 5-ish minutes...this smells very similar to Shalimar EDP. I get a lot of powder mixed with the bermot which is probably why my brain is saying "SHALIMAR". This perfume gets better as it dries down into the base notes and I do get a feeling of being in a cozy witches cottage; it's absolutely incredible. Out of the 7 samples I picked out, this has to be my favorite of the bunch. I cannot wait to try the other fragrances Fantome has to offer!

Wow, I believe this IS what a witchy English townhouse would smell like?

I like this one a lot- deep and a little incense-y but also dusty, and citified, and cluttered- kinda how I want to live.

Somehow you guys created the scent of actual books. I am obsessed. I feel like a piece of literal poetry I found in the corner of an eccentric and overstocked used bookstore waiting to be rediscovered. Everything I have tried from all of your scents have been experiences more than a fragrant accessory. Love.

Amber
A mature scent

I bought this because I read a review likening it to an earl grey creamsicle and the description given seemed to support that (citrus, vanilla, floral). Alas, I don't get any earl grey and I wouldn't describe this as particularly citrusy, at least not in the refreshing sense. It's a lightly sweet scent with cashmere, slight florals, and vanilla - the peppercorn and cedar were nowhere to be found. It's a bit soapy and yet a little too dense feeling at the same time. For reference, I also find amber too dense and perfumey, so if you're one of those people who thinks amber is 'cozy' this could be for you!
