Not Dead, but Arisen Extrait de Parfum

I am entirely obsessed with this fragrance. This is one of the scents that I added to my sample pack, and I cannot describe to you how quickly I picked up my phone to add a full bottle to my cart after I smelled it for the first time. It smells like walking barefoot on damp soil through a lush, green forest right after the rain. It’s bright and lightly sweet but grounding and earthy all at the same time, and it is surprisingly wearable. The projection is slightly more than moderate, and the longevity is incredible. Among my many other bottles, I can easily see this scent being my most reached for. I might even dare say that I could see this becoming my signature scent.

As soon as a sprayed this, it smelled like when your digging a hole to transplant a plant into the garden. Moist, dark, rich soil. I was very conservative with how much I used so half-way through the day it’s giving a very subtle “sitting in the garden on a hot day while eating an orange” vibe. I don’t think it’s an every-day scent for me but I will wear it occasionally if I’m feeling like a witch bringing their foraged mushrooms and roots back to the cottage.

I received a sample bottle as a gift and I'm pleasantly surprised with how fresh it smells. On my skin, the opening notes are a crisp, delightful coolness and a symphony of greenery. The soil scent is captivating and ties everything together wonderfully. If you're looking for something that smells like walking through a cool, lush cemetery after a rainy day, this is it.
